Nokia Pushes Lumia Campaign in Ghana

The Finnish mobile phone giant, Nokia, has intensified its media campaign on its Lumia line of smartphones in Ghana. The Lumia line of smartphones are powered by Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Phone 8. Nokia has bought tonnes of newspaper ads to push the Lumia brands into the options of mostly business and corporate consumers. This seems to be a conscious effort by Nokia to get its loyal Ghanaian customers still using the discontinued Symbian OS to make the change to Windows Phone.
Nokia is still highly regarded in Ghana as a trusted brand, but it has seen better days. With the gravitation of the Ghanaian market from feature phones to smart phones, Nokia is fast losing ground to Samsung as well as other android-powered mobile devices.
It remains to be seen if the campaign can regain Nokia the top spot it used to occupy in terms of smartphone sales in Ghana.

  1. i honestly believe nokia has a long way to go, even though the lumia brand in terms of pricing is very competitive. i am one person who wants to own one lumia but, it will take something really special to kill my love for android.
