In what appears to be a continuation of the previous government’s policy of issuing long-dated instruments to replace short-term liabilities the government will issue a 5-year GH¢600m bond this month. It will also issue a 3-year GH¢700m bond in February as well as a total of GH¢1.2 billion worth of 2-year bonds this quarter.
Here’s a table of all planned issuance this quarter provided by the Bank of Ghana.
