The results of the third edition of the Ghana Earnings & Savings Survey (GESS 3) have revealed that 68% of respondents earn less than GHS 5,000 a month. The survey follows GESS 1 (2023) and GESS 2 (2024) which were fully online-based.
Thanks to the partnership between CediTalk.com and Insightis Africa, a data intelligence firm, GESS 3 deployed both an offline and online survey with respondents from all the 16 regions. As usual, Alfred Appiah, a Canada-based data scientist, was the main adviser for the survey. A role he also held in GESS 1 and GESS 2.
