
The Coordinating Director of the Public Affairs Subdivision at Parliament of Ghana, Kate Addo, has encouraged staff of the Parliamentary Service to communicate with purpose in order to drive meaningful impact in their work. She emphasized the critical role of effective communication in advancing good governance especially by an important institution of state as the Parliament of Ghana.
Ms. Addo was delivering a presentation on communication and interpersonal skills at the 2025 Graduate Training Programme organised for staff of the Parliamentary Service where she urged participants who were drawn from various grades within the Service to embrace clarity and precision in both verbal and written exchanges either by speaking to senior or junior colleagues. The veteran broadcaster highlighted the benefits and impact of effective communication and underscored the need to maintain professionalism in the discharge of duty particularly when discussing sensitive work-related matters.
She noted, “effective communication is not just a skill but a vehicle for promoting trust, transparency and accountability for effective governance; communication is the life blood for democracy.”
