Dive deeper into the Ghana Earnings & Savings Survey Data

In June this year I published the results of the Ghana Earnings & Savings Survey (GESS 1) with the help of Alfred Appiah (@callmealfredo on twitter). The survey was based on over 1,800 responses from an online poll and the data was shared on Alfred’s GitHub with the hope that independent researchers will do a deeper analysis into the results.

I’m happy to announce that tech nerd, David Adjirackor, has taken up the challenge. He has developed a dashboard accessible through tinyurl.com/earningssurvey which allows users to customise reports based on the data for a deeper insight.

For example, I logged in and navigated to the dashboard where I selected Industry. I was then able to select the Financial Services, Management Consulting, Audit & Assurance industry and view the breakdown of the earnings as shown in fig. 1 below.

This interactive dashboard saves a whole lot of time for people who want to do some further digging on the GESS 1 data. So head on right now and go play with the data. Let me know which results most surprise you in the comments.
