NewGold ETF tops GSE for March 2024

The NewGold Exchange Traded Fund (GSE) topped all assets on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) to return an impressive 20.8% in March and 35.9% for the year overall. The ETF is an Absa Capital-sponsored exchange traded fund on the GSE whose returns are determined by the global price of gold. It therefore tends to perform well when the Ghana Cedi struggles against its major trading partners.

Stocks overall are up 10.41% for the year while financial stocks are up 5.25%. See how all stocks performed below.

  1. Mr. Jerome, thanks for this information and heads up.
    I have a quick question:
Can you please write an article or maybe a reply to explain why some companies in Ghana are not listed on the Ghana stock market?
Also, is there any way to purchase their shares apart from using the GSE?
    Thank you.
