A Night with the Diplomats is a distinguished annual event organized by Diplomatic Affairs Media and Communication Ltd. (DAMC)—a media organization dedicated to education, awareness, and advocacy in diplomacy and international relations. The event serves as a high-level networking and dialogue platform, bringing together diplomats, business leaders, policymakers, and influential personalities from Ghana and beyond to engage on critical global and regional issues.
The 2025 edition was held on Sunday, December 14, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, under the theme:
“Economic Diplomacy and Africa’s Industrialization Agenda: Building Africa’s Integrated Future.”
A major highlight of the evening was the official launch of the GOOD DIPLOMAT MAGAZINE. The publication features in-depth diplomatic analyses, including H.E. President John Dramani Mahama’s address marking the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations, alongside reflections on Africa’s evolving role in global governance.
The magazine traces the evolution of diplomacy from ancient civilizations to modern multilateral systems, examines Africa’s engagement within the United Nations framework, and presents curated speeches from global leaders, expert commentaries, and insights into contemporary international relations and geopolitical trends.
The event attracted an impressive assembly of distinguished dignitaries and thought leaders. The host, Miss Harriet Nartey, Chief Executive Officer of DAMC and a respected diplomatic journalist, reaffirmed DAMC’s commitment to using media as a strategic tool to bridge diplomacy, policy, and public understanding. She emphasized that platforms such as ‘A Night With the Diplomats’ are essential for shaping informed discourse and strengthening Africa’s voice in global affairs.

The evening featured thought-provoking contributions from a distinguished panel of speakers.
Dr. Andrew Asamoah, Founder of A&C Mall, underscored the critical role of the private sector in Africa’s industrialization drive, noting that economic diplomacy must translate into tangible investments, infrastructure development, and job creation.
Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Ghana’s Special Envoy for Reparative Justice, delivered a compelling reflection on Africa’s historical and contemporary engagement with the global system. He emphasized that reparative justice, economic equity, and strategic diplomacy are central to Africa’s long-term development and global relevance.
Madam Shamima Muslim, Deputy Spokesperson at the Office of the President, highlighted the government’s commitment to strategic partnerships, inclusive growth, and policy coherence, stressing that diplomacy must align with national development priorities and the aspirations of the African people.
